Eve M Watson

TALKS/PRESENTATIONS:

Since 1988 she has been giving presentations of her paintings, which express the creative energy she activated in the face of death. These now include readings from her book.

Eve has given presentations to a number of organisations and institutions including:
Psychology Dept. Edinburgh University
Wellspring Centre for Psychotherapy, Edinburgh
The Edinburgh Tara Trust
Moray College of Education, Edinburgh
Rigpa Buddhist Centre, London
Art Access Programme - for adults with learning difficulties, Dublin.
Creativity and Cure - a University of Edinburgh event. Part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.

EXHIBITIONS:

Eve began exhibiting paintings in 1986 in group shows in Edinburgh at The City Arts Centre and 369 Gallery as well as exhibiting paintings to accompany Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time in St. Bernard’s Church, Edinburgh 1991. Eve worked with The Scottish Chamber Orchestra, singing with them on several occasions in their community projects.

In Ireland her solo exhibitions included: ‘Stillness in Movement’, 101 Talbot, Dublin, 1999; ‘Dingle Moods’, Siamsa Tire Theatre and Arts Centre, Tralee, Co. Kerry 2001, and ‘Pathways Home’, a joint exhibition with her husband Julian, Kerlin Gallery, Belfast 2002. She has exhibited in group shows in galleries all around Ireland, including The Greenlane Gallery, Dingle; The Private Collector’s Gallery, Co. Cork and Kenny’s Gallery in Galway.

She now lives in Dumfries and Galloway and has exhibited locally including The Whitehouse Gallery, Kirkcudbright; and The McGill Duncan Gallery, Castle Douglas.
